John Legend to Take Over Jennifer Hudson’s Coaching Seat for Season 16 of “The Voice”

-

“The Voice” is undoubtedly my favorite singing competition on TV— and now, it’s about to get a whole lot sweeter with the addition of everyone’s favorite EGOT: John Legend.

According to Variety, John Legend is set to take over Jennifer Hudson’s coaching seat following season 15, which airs on September 24. Legend will join Blake Shelton, Adam Levine and Kelly Clarkson as the fourth coach for season 16 this spring.

“I’m thrilled to join the coaches of ‘The Voice,’” Legend said of the announcement. “I’ve been a guest and mentor on the show multiple times and I’m so excited to discover talented singers and help them make the most of their gift. I hope the world is ready for #TeamJL.”
