Jon Gosselin has undoubtedly had a rough few years. Ever since splitting up from wife Kate Gosselin and leaving their TLC show “Jon and Kate Plus 8,” there have been lots of rumors and speculation as to why they split and where their eight kids would land.

Earlier this month, it was disclosed that Jon was just granted temporary sole legal and physical custody of 14-year-old Collin Gosselin, who has reportedly been living in an out-of-state educational program since 2016.

Now, Jon is opening up about his relationship with the rest of his kids.

First, he clarified what the current living situation is for each of the kids. “Hannah lives with me full time, and then Collin. Leah, Alexis, Joel and Aaden, they’re with their mom, and then the twins are 18, so they’re adults,” he said in an interview during Real Love: Relationship Reality TV’s Past, Present & Future event.

Jon said that while he communicates regularly with Hannah and Collin as, the other underage four don’t speak with him.

“The other four aren’t talking to me, but they’re talking to Hannah,” he said. “It’s what the kids want to do. If they don’t want to talk to me, that’s fine, as long as they keep up with their sibling connections.”

Jon shared that the last time he tried to be with all of the kids, things didn’t go so well. “It was just volatile and a lot going on,” he said. “It was just not a good time.”

He also shared that he does not communicate with Kate, saying, “It’s too much right now.”

The news of Jon being granted custody of Collin comes on the heels of Kate sharing she’d be coming back to TLC for a new show, “Kate Plus Date,” which would follow her on her search for love, though no other details have been released as of this time.
