Mama June and Honey Boo Boo Compete in First Mother-Daughter Pageant on “Not To Hot”

Mama June has come a long, long way since TLC’s early “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” days. She’s no longer with Sugar Bear, she’s gone from 460 pounds to a shocking 160 and she now has her own spinoff show, “Mama June: From Not to Hot.”

Aside from her major weight loss and lifestyle change, Shannon (Mama June) has taken on a few new ventures so she can show off her new…look— which includes stepping back into the pageant world only this time, she’s not backstage.

In a new episode of “From Not to Hot,” Shannon and Alana (Honey Boo Boo) compete in their first ever mother-daughter pageant and boy was it something. In a new clip from WE tv, we see them prepping backstage, trying to fight off nerves.

“I got this, I got this,” Honey Boo Boo says. “I can do this! I mean, how hard is it?” She then says she worries she’s “not the Honey Boo Boo she used to be,” which might be my new go-to phrase when I’m feeling down.

Really, it’s one you’ll just want to see for yourself— which you can do on Friday nights on WE tv. What a time to be alive.
