MTV Announces Return of “The Hills” Starring Some of Your Favorite and Least Favorite Cast Members

Through the years, fans have known darn well to expect the unexpected at the MTV Video Music Awards, but chances are good that this year, no one was expecting this.

And yes, our little reality show loving heart is about to burst.

Announced at the Monday night (Aug. 20) award show, “The Hills” is back! Set to be titled “The Hills: New Beginnings,” the show will reunite a number of members of the original cast such as Heidi and Spencer Pratt, Audrina Patridge, Jason Wahler, Justin Bobby, Stephanie Pratt and Frankie Delgado. In fact, all of these people were coincidently on the red carpet at the awards show to celebrate the announcement.

But before you run to set your DVR, take a breath.

The show isn’t set to premiere until next year.

You say you don’t remember “The Hills?” Well, it’s good to be young, isn’t it? The show ran for six seasons, from 2006 to 2010, on MTV and followed the lives of a number of jetsetters beginning their careers in the star-studded California town. The show actually was a spin-off of the show “Laguna Beach.” Luckily you have some time to binge watch those shows before the big premiere.
