The new series, of which more details were unveiled during Apple’s latest event, will reportedly highlight and discuss the politics of the broadcast morning news.
Jennifer explains, “We take an honest look at the complex relationships between women and men in the workplace, and we engage in the conversation people are a little too afraid to have unless they’re behind closed doors.”
To completely do the show justice, they have to have the male perspective, and that’s where Steve Carrell comes in. “You can’t have an honest look at complex relationships between men and women with just women,” Jennifer says. Steve agrees completely; he swears to bring “the manliness” to the show.
He even revealed that his character is “bold and dynamic, with a lot of gravitas. He’s a great listener and relatable and extremely handsome.” With Reese, Jennifer, and Steve this is clearly an all-star cast.
Reese took to her Instagram following the event to share a series of photos alongside her castmates, saying, “So excited to announce my new Apple show at the #appleevent! It’s called The Morning Show and it reveals what happens in the fast-paced world of broadcast morning news. I star alongside #JenniferAniston, #SteveCarell & many other talented cast members. Making this project with Apple has been such a dream! Can’t wait for you all to see it! Coming this Fall!”
More details on the show are expected to be released soon— and until then, we’ll be counting down the days until fall!
