SandyRedd Earns Four Chair Turns on “The Voice” With Incredible Powerhouse Performance

It’s rare that Kelly Clarkson is actually speechless following a performance on “The Voice,” but when SandyRedd took the stage for her blind audition, that changed.

The mother of two from Chicago took on Bishop Briggs’ “River,” putting more soul and power behind her performance than we typically see in blind auditions. Coaches Adam Levine and Jennifer Hudson were the first to turn their chairs about 10 seconds into her performance, followed by Kelly and Blake Shelton.

After her performance, Jennifer Hudson threw both of her shoes on stage (her signature symbol for amazing performances). Adam Levine then walked his own shoe up and set it on the stage, followed by Blake Shelton’s cup.

AKA, she killed it.

While I thought she would end up choosing Jennifer as her coach, she surprised everyone (including Kelly herself) by choosing #TeamKelly, saying she liked when Kelly said, “I don’t know who you’re gonna pick but I don’t care, I just can’t wait to watch you on this show. You are fire.”

And that she was.
