#TeamBlake’s Wilkes Wins Knockout Round With Soulful Performance of Miley Cyrus’ “The Climb”

During part 3 of knockout performances on “The Voice,” we got to see some more incredible performances from our favorite hopefuls, and the competition is getting wild.

As a part of #TeamBlake, Wilkes went up against Dylan Hartigan with an interesting song choice considering his musical background: “The Climb” by former “Voice” coach, Miley Cyrus.

After some coaching from Blake Shelton and last season’s winner Chloe Kohanski, Wilkes gave the song a bit of a pop/rock feel and was able to show off some of the best aspects of his voice while doing so. Hartigan sang “You Are The Best Thing” by Ray LaMontagne, a beautiful song that is undoubtedly tough to sing– but his performance was incredible.

Ultimately, Blake chose to keep Wilkes on his team and newcomer coach Kelly Clarkson saved Hartigan, keeping both fellas in the competition– and we know Kelly can’t wait to rub the save in Blake’s face. After all, if she wins this season, Blake has to call her “Queen Kelly.”
