As racial tensions continue to rise across the country, many actors and actresses are addressing some of the racism that they have dealt with the past. One of those actresses is Trina McGee, who appeared on two seasons of the show Boy Meets World and then on the reboot Girl Meets World.

And according to McGee, one of her fellow actresses on that particular show didn’t talk to her much while on set, but has now apologized for her actions.

That co-star is Danielle Fishel, who played Topanga Lawrence-Mathews in the series.

“When we did discuss it recently, she called me to apologize,” McGee shared in a recent interview with Yahoo Entertainment. “She was going through a lot at the time. And I kinda just gave it that.”

During the taping of both shows, McGee was the only Black actress on the show alongside an all white cast that also included Will Friedle, Ben Savage and Rider Strong. McGee went on to say that her and Fishel actually have a much better relationship these days.

“She goes out of her way to say ‘Hey, are you okay?’ ” McGee said. “She actually just sent me a cute picture of her baby. I’m not trying to hang around and have a grudge against the girl. I’m just kind of slowly taking steps to trusting.”
