Kristen Bell Confirms “Veronica Mars” Reboot is Coming to Hulu

-

I’ll be the first to admit that all of the news of reboots and revivals of old shows and movies is getting a little old— but between Space Jam 2 and this, I’m living for the nostalgia.

Kristen Bell’s “Veronica Mars” has officially been picked up by Hulu for a revival– and it’s coming sooner than you’d think! According to Variety, the reboot with feature 8 all-new one-hour episodes, debuting in 2019.

Kristen Bell took to Instagram to confirm the news with a video, saying, “This is a very important marshmallow announcement. Did you guys know that As of summer 2019, all of the old Veronica Mars episodes will be available on Hulu, to stream, and rewatch, which is great because you’ll need to brush up since we’re MAKING ANOTHER ONE!”

Luckily, they’ve already given fans a little sneak peek into the plot of the reboot:

“Spring breakers are getting murdered in Neptune, thereby decimating the seaside town’s lifeblood tourist industry. After Mars Investigations is hired by the parents of one of the victims to find their son’s killer, Veronica is drawn into an epic eight-episode mystery that pits the enclave’s wealthy elites, who would rather put an end to the month-long bacchanalia, against a working class that relies on the cash influx that comes with being the West Coast’s answer to Daytona Beach.”

Rob Thomas, the show’s original creator, will serve as the executive producer and writer of the first episode— Kristen Bell will also executive produce with Diane Ruggiero-Wright and Dan Etheridge.
