Who knew there were so many more uses for bobby pins besides fixing just your hair? It’s true. These little hair tools can serve you as a jack (or pin!) of all trades.

1. Get the last drop of toothpaste out of the tube.

When the tube gets low, just slide a bobby pin onto the end of the tube and push the rest of the paste up.

2.Create a makeshift chip clip.

Nobody likes stale potato chips, but sometimes chip clips can be hard to come by. Bobby pins, on the other hand, come in multi-packs making it a breeze to slide a few onto your chip bag.

3. Temporarily hem your pants.

There is nothing more annoying than your hemline falling out of your favorite pants or skirt. In a pinch, use a bobby pin to discreetly hold your hem in place until you can fix it permanently.

4. Fix a zipper with a bobby pin.

Zippers are kind of known for breaking, but if you’ve got a bobby pin, you can simply thread it through the broken part and you are good to go.

5. Use them as clothespins.

For smaller, more delicate garments, hanging them with a bobby pin makes perfect sense! Obviously, you aren’t going to be about to hang your favorite pair of jeans, but lightweight shirts, socks and delicates are perfect.

What unique uses do you have for bobby pins?
