You’ve heard it before, straight from the mouth of Tim McGraw even: There’s nothin’ in the whole wide world like a southern girl. If you’re a southern girl, there are a few things you should always have in your beauty bag that won’t cost you an arm and a leg that will help keep you looking (and feeling) your very best!

9 Under-$20 Beauty Products Every Southern Girl Should Have:

1. Dry Shampoo

Living in Arkansas, dry shampoo is basically a must-have. I’ve had the best luck with the Batiste brand— and they make a tinted version specifically for dark hair that I love!

Batiste Dry Shampoo 3 Pack, $17

2. Hydrating Moisturizer

Every woman needs a good face moisturizer to apply right before bed and first thing in the morning. This one is packed with Hyaluronic Acid to help your skin retain moisture and help you glow!

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Moisturizer, $14.99

3. Face Masks

If you haven’t used a bubble mask yet, you’re missing out! Not only do they feel (and look) really cool on your face, they leave it feeling so clean and refreshed.

Carbonated Bubble Mask, $10

4. Hair Mask

Just like you use masks on your face to help give them life, you can do the same for your hair, too! I use this Kristin Ess moisture mask once per week and I swear it changes the way my hair looks the rest of the week! It smells like an angel and you can apply it in the shower!

Kristin Ess Moisture Mask, $14

5. Lip Exfoliant

This is one of those products that I might actually consider myself addicted to. Just like an exfoliant for your body, they make exfoliants for your lips that are heavenly. I use my e.l.f. lip exfoliator every day to help get dry, dead skin off of my lips– then I immediately follow it up with some chapstick or lip balm to lock in moisture!

e.l.f. Lip Exfoliator, $7.25

6. Body Oil

This body oil is a game changer, y’all. Keep it in your shower and use it right after you shave and exfoliate, and it will leave your skin baby soft. I sometimes put a few drops in my bath, too.

Neutrogena Body Oil, $8

7. Lip Plumper

Not all of us were blessed with plump lips, which is why lip plumper exists! Aside from the fact that the name is fun to say, Sexy Mother Pucker lip plumper by Soap and Glory will give your lips a perfect pout– you can even feel them tingle when you put the gloss on!

Sexy Mother Pucker Lip Plumper, $18.50

8. Blotting Sheets

I think any southern woman would agree that oil blotting sheets are essential. They’re so easy to keep in your purse for a mid-day dab when your face looks like an oil slick.

Bamboo Oil Blotting Tissues, $6.95

9. Cuticle Oil

Using cuticle oil in between manicures will help keep your nails looking fresh and healthy instead of cracked and dry.

Cuccio Cuticle Oil, $5
