I haven’t been to Disneyland since I was a kid. It was the happiest place on earth. But now I can only imagine the headache of wrangling kids through the lines, diaper bags, ever-mounting costs, etc. But now there is a place to relax. Ballast Point is set to open Disney’s very first brewery in the heart of Downtown Disney District.
*Cue “Cheers” theme song*
So if you are a parent looking to chill or an adult just going to Disneyland there is another reason to be happy. Ballast Point president Marty Birkel noted in a statement that this will not be an adults-only venue, but a brewpub for the whole family. The restaurant will include an outdoor beer garden with cabana-style seats, a tasting room and kitchen and a “three-barrel research and development brewery,” including Ballast Point’s well-known lineup and limited-edition beers only available at its Downtown Disney location.
“Our guests are constantly asking for new and innovative dining experiences, and Ballast Point’s selection of award-winning beers, locally inspired cuisine and friendly atmosphere make them a perfect fit,” says Patrick Finnegan, vice president of Disney California Adventure and Downtown Disney, in a press release.
Man, I can’t wait to go back.
