Good news for Disney World fans and families planning to visit the park in the near future: the park has reopened and avoided significant damage! Irma toppled trees and spread debris throughout the park but left the park in working shape. Some areas will remain closed for repairs, but most of the park will be reopened by the end of the week.

Disney World is open, but not in tip-top shape

The Animal Kingdom was hit hardest by the storm, leaving Kilimajaro Safaris closed.

The usually pristine Cinderella’s Castle needs minor work and some debris cleared.

Fort Wilderness is closed for for repair and cleanup

But there are blue skies and very light crowds.

Just imagine: no lines. You could ride any ride as much as you want!
