Julia Roberts Joins Instagram with a Simple Post— “Hello”

In the age of social media,  you would think that all celebrities would have Instagram, Facebook and Twitter accounts to support their work. However, there are still some famous folks holding out us. One of those celebs was Julia Roberts —but no longer. The “Pretty Woman” actress has given in and joined the 600 million of us on Instagram.

In her first post,  the Georgia native shared a photo of herself dressed in jean shorts and a sweater that says “love.” She simply captioned the photo, “Hello,” with a sunshine emoji.

Her second post was a photo of her and friend, celebrity stylist Elizabeth Stewart, wearing identical T-Shirts. The shirts read “You can’t make everyone happy. You are not an Avocado.”

That’s one small step for man and one giant step for social media. The 50-year-old Oscar winner has steered clear of addictive medium, until now. However, she still doesn’t have an account on Facebook or Twitter. Baby steps

Julia, who simply wrote “human” in her Instgram profile already has 596k followers with more to come.

Welcome to Instagram Julia.
