Boozy Mudslide Hot Chocolate is Here To Make Your Dreams Come True

I don’t fancy myself to be a hot chocolate connoisseur by any sense of the word, but I do enjoy a hot cup of cocoa– especially when it’s got a little kick of Baileys or Khalua in it! This mudslide hot chocolate recipe is perfect for whipping up while you watch some movies and snuggle up by the fire. You can make a non-alcoholic version that is equally as tasty.

Mudslide Hot Chocolate Recipe:

  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 2 tbsp. cocoa powder
  • 14/ cup sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 6 oz. chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup Baileys
  • 1/4 cup vodka
  • 1/4 cup Kahlua
  • Whipped cream
  • Chocolate sauce
  • Crushed Oreos
Add milk to a small saucepan and simmer over medium heat. Whisk in cocoa powder and sugar, then stir until no clumps are left. Stir in chocolate chips and vanilla, then cook until the chocolate is completely melted, stirring occasionally. If you’d like the boozy option, add in the Baileys, vodka and Kahlua. Pour chocolate sauce into a small dish and dip the rim of a mug in the sauce. Pour the hot chocolate into the mugs, top with whipped cream, and garnish with chocolate drizzle and crushed oreos!
