The country music family held a public vigil to honor, support and mourn the lives lost and affected in the Las Vegas massacre. Charles Esten opened the evening saying, “Country Music– they call it an industry, and it is. They call it a community sometimes and it is. But in the end, what it really turns out to be is a family.” The night proved his words with tears, prayers, music, and hope.
The night included eulogies and performances from Charles Esten, Nashville Mayor Meghan Barry, Grand Ole Opry General Manager Sally Williams, Vince Gill and Amy Grant, and closed with Alison Krauss and The Cox Family singing” Amazing Grace.”
