Every family has little idiosyncrasies that they think are completely normal. It usually takes the kids moving away from home to realize that keeping the tape in the fridge or taking a full-on bath every day is a bit odd.
Twitter user Georgia Hardshark (real name, very great), asked her followers what was the oddest thing their family did. Their responses were incredible.
What’s a weird thing your family did that you thought was normal till you moved out? We kept birthday candles in the freezer.

Once my brother and I figured out the Santa thing, all of our Christmas presents suddenly started to be from living AND deceased pets. It isn't really Christmas until I've received a wrapped gift from, "Ghost of Eeyore the parakeet."

Fact: Moms love presents
We had a “Valentines Day Frog”. Like the Easter bunny or Santa. My mom just really liked giving us presents.

Ovens, dishwashers, dryers it’s all extra storage
The dishwasher was used strictly for storage. Not dishes either, just random shit

Omg, my grandma used to keep potatoes in the clothes dryer. She would only hang dry clothes.

Yeah, maybe don’t do that
We stick our heads under the faucet when we want a quick drink of water. The HORROR on my new college friend's face when she took me home and I did it in front of her parents.

No joke. Bathing everyday. I have so many friends that don’t shower/bathe everyday. Everyone in my family does and it was expected and normal. Went to college and was totally shocked.

Then there’s just the odd harmless stuff
Scotch tape in the fridge. We have carried on the tradition. Always know where the tape is! Plus it's nice and cold. https://t.co/XQruS2hNc1
