Trisha Yearwood's Chicken Pie Recipe is Winter Perfection

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups cooked, shredded chicken
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • One 10-ounce can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted
  • 1 cup buttermilk, well shaken
Directions:
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Place chicken in casserole dish. Boil broth and soup together, then pour over chicken.
Mix flour with pepper, then add melted butter and buttermilk. Stir, then pour over casserole. Bake until crust is flaky, or around 45 minutes.
