To kickoff the US leg of his I’m Comin’ Over Tour, Chris Young played a hometown show in Nashville for the first time since 2012. Young played in front of 5,000 excited fans at Nashville’s brand new Ascend Amphitheater.

In a candid moment, Young told the crowd, “We are exactly 4.8 miles from the El Chico Mexican restaurant where I played for tips and free queso. Hell it’s way more fun over here!” And all night long Young looked like he has having fun. He also has a few more No. 1 hits to his name now, too.

Young started the night off with bang (seriously, there were pyrotechnics) and kept the pace up for over an hour.

Later, Brad Paisley joined him on the stage for a rendition of Eric Clapton’s “If I Could Change the World.” Young’s vocals on this classic are absolutely out-of-this-world incredible.

Young’s fifth studio album I’m Comin’ Over will drop November 13th.
