Rucker sat on a stool and belted out “You Don’t Have to Call Me By My Name,” for a special performance that brought back a lot of memories for him. The four-decade old song was often performed by Hootie and the Blowfish during their prime. With guitar in hand, the South Carolina native reminisced about his old (and sometimes current) band, “We used to play it in the fraternity houses, the sororities and the clubs that we played down in the south.”
Rucker recently kicked off his Southern Style Tour with Brett Eldredge and Brothers Osborne, where they’ve already played a couple of other Hootie and the Blowfish favorites.
