Like a lot of singers, the Florida Georgia Line boys got their start in music in church. But, not just children’s choir– through actually leading worship in front of hundreds.
Brian Kelley recently told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that God brought him together with bandmate, Tyler Hubbard and leading worship is how the two learned to connect with a crowd.
“We kind of cut our teeth on learning how to lead worship through high school, through college and even after college — learning how to connect with a big group of people, learning how to worship, learning how to lead, learning how to just be up there and be comfortable,” Kelley told the paper.
“If you can lead somebody to worship the Lord, you can lead people in having a good time. So I think it just comes natural. On a deeper level, God brought us together. We believe that, and at the end of the day we know that, so we’re just trying to honor that and be good with that gift that he’s given us.”
So, if you want to know why you’re hearing Florida Georgia Line on the radio so much– it’s a God thing.
