A few months ago during an Opry performance, Scotty McCreery wowed the crowd with a performance of Conway Twitty’s “Hello Darlin‘.” His most recent Grand Ole Opry appearance featured another classic in his classic deep voice.

McCreery closed the show with George Jones’ 1974 hit, “The Grand Tour.”

McCreery is able to step inside the angst of the song, released just before Jones and Tammy Wynette’s relationship ended in divorce.

McCreery also got to hang with two surprises guests after the show.

Hey @Opry, I had a blast tonight! Thanks for having me! And if it’s alright with yall… #illbeback
