Thomas Rhett’s five-week No. 1 song, “Die A Happy Man,” was inspired by his wife Lauren, who also encouraged him to include some sweeter songs on his Tangled Up album.

When it comes to hit songs, Lauren has been encouraging and inspiring Thomas for years and obviously, whatever she is saying to him is working.

Thomas says there are so many ways that Lauren inspires him and makes him a better person. For instance, he says, “Oh, every day when I talk to her at 11 o’clock in the morning on a Sunday when we’re on the road and I’ve got a headache ‘cause I drank too many beers last night and she just left church. It’s just one of those things where she’s constantly making me feel like I need to up my game, just as far as being a man in the marriage and stuff.”

Thomas and Lauren have been married a little over 3 years, and he says, “She is the best. She really is a huge blessing in my life. She’s the reason for so many things good in my life. So, very, very thankful for her.”

Lauren recently went on a mission trip to Haiti, while Thomas just set out on the road with Jason Aldean for the rest of 2016.
